Data We Collect
- Account information— email address and display name, used for authentication.
- Portfolio data— holdings, watchlist entries, and trade parameters you enter.
- AI analysis results— stored so you can review past analyses without re-running them.
- Session metadata— IP address and user-agent string, retained for security logging.
How We Store It
All data is stored in an SQLite database on a private VPS. Passwords are hashed with scrypt before storage. No data is stored in third-party cloud databases.
Third-Party Services
When an AI analysis is run, relevant market data (ticker symbols, prices, financial metrics) is sent to our AI provider to generate the analysis. No personal account data (email, name, portfolio details) is included in these requests. Market data is fetched from Yahoo Finance.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
Cookies & Tracking
Sentien uses a session cookie for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all personal data, portfolio information, and analysis history will be permanently removed.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted server access. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
